how you doin' at Makassar?

a stale news from me who has been backed home for 2 weeks from Makassar. but it's ok, i'm gonna post my activity there especially on the FOOD!! at Makassar i'm not only competing with others varsity but importantly i'm also indulge myself with the culinary. let's start with what happened on the first day

January 20th:
we arrived at sultan hasanuddin airport with batavia air and we spent our day at Makassar for our first culinary journey. we found a place to eat which provide sop saudar, sop kacang merah, cumi bakar, udang bakar, ikan bakar. on that place we spent almost Rp. 40.000,- per person for ONLY the lunch! but it tasted great uber great! the unforgettable one is the CUMI BAKAR! then we spent the day with the coaching and training until night. before that, KFC cream soup made my sleep deeper! :)

January 21st:
we moved to a more appropriate lodging, named AMARIS HOTEL! we also spent useless time by watching the committee "jam karet" and inappropriate food. but we still got a warm opening ceremony and also debating-adjudicating seminar and exhibition! what a day, what a tiring day, so called!

January 22nd-23rd:
the competition has started. up and down. right and left. cry and laugh. good and bad mood. it's strolling all around us! what great from that? we didn't forget to took some pictures!

January 24th:
we spent that day with --> rapat pengurus luar biasa :p - konro bakar yang menggoda - having fun di trans studio - breaking announcement yg agak miris - latihan octofinal! yang perlu di deskripsikan adalah =
KONRO BAKAR: that's the most delicious menu that God has ever made! saus kacangnya maknyus! dagingnya keras alot tapi memanjakan lidah. actually it's hard to describe so one of our contingent call it CULINARY ORGASM!
gak cuma konro bakar. ada juga sop konro. rasanya emang ga gitu nampol karena rada tawar. tapi tinggal tambahin garam dan jeruk nipis sesuai selera, it became DE-LI-CI-OUSSSSS!!! daging iganya lebih empuk dari si konro bakar. gw waktu itu sampe pengen nambah nasi tapi gak mau kalap aja kaya si om ganteng yang menghabiskan dua porsi konro bakar! WOW, THAT WAS UBER KEWLLL! :DDDD
after that indulging food, we continued our journey to Trans Studio. an indoor theme park with so many 'wahana permainan mini' smaller than what dufan has! (i still prefer DUFAN, though!) before that kita masuk lewatin mall trans nya. the interior design looks similiar to what pacific place has. this is the picture!
selain itu we also found a particular thing that remind us about chinese new year, so we also took pictures there! this is one of them!
we shared lots of fun time together. especially on those days! kita main jet coaster juga di sana. mainan yang entah namanya apa tapi mainnya enjot-enjotan, terus main yang kaya mainan baru di dufan (gw super lupa namanay!!!!!) dan bianglala. ok kita cuma sempet main segitu untuk tiket masuk Rp 70.000,- karena kita telat dateng. terlalu lama terbuai oleh sih konro karebossi. :p after all, it was all very fun until the breaking announcement! luckily, the A-team broke to octofinal round, though mine didn't! :)
and after that, that day ended sweetly!

January 25th:
watching the quarter final until the final round. than we spent the last night with karaoke! awesomely fun and blissful. it's nice moment actually. having fun. killing the time and share stories~~~



and the official competition time has finished. part of out contingent went home. Jenn, Richard, Carlos and Wijaya took the morning flight back to Jakarta. the rest of us which are me, Yuli, Acin, Nixon and Davin spent one more day. what did we do? be patient, Makassar part 2 on progress!!!
